Disaster!

Today, I had the worst morning possible. I moved into a new house today. For starters, I had no idea on whom I had to contact in case there was no running water. So, I just waited and waited for the water to start flowing. I opened a shipment of my books from Chennai to find that the morons who did the packaging packed my box of pencil shavings along with the books. The shavings “leaked” and all my books are covered in black graphite. I need to spend some time with a box of erasers now. It also seems that a rodent has attacked a few magazines.

After getting ready, I arrive at the bus stand to find that I had no change. There were no ICICI ATMs in sight. I walked to a CSB ATM and the guard told me that the ATM was not working. Thankfully, there was a working ATM of Canara Bank nearby. I got into a bus and I got cheated. I have a feeling that all the private buses plying on Hosur Road charge people based on their “looks”. I have used the service two times and each time, the conductor got 10 bucks from me without issuing a ticket. I thought of confronting the conductor in the morning today but I did not want to spoil the day. There will definitely be a confrontation in the evening today.

I dropped my tie at the E-City junction and it got run over by a couple of vehicles. I picked it up and I am wearing it now. Well, let me call it a day.

The following is a comment I made on Slashdot: That is a pretty accurate description, especially Our educational system itself is a joke.
