Shared Accomdation

A post I made in the company bulletin board…

Folks,

Shared accommodation is available for one person at Chengalpattu. The location is behind CSI St. Andrews Church in the old part of town. It is a 1BHK in which two folks are currently spending their days. They would like to share the place with another gentleman. Please take a look at their conditions below:

Conditions

Caste: They prefer only FC, MC [Middle Caste – is there any such thing?], BC, OBC, SC or ST. If you don’t have a caste, you obviously are not an Indian. Look below for more information if you fall under this category.

Religion: Folks from all religions are welcome. But folks from the Church of Scientology will be given special preference.

Region: People from any part of India are welcome. However, if you are from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (which India considers its sovereign territory), you need to have a proper Pakistani passport, Indian visa and also need to register at the nearest police station.

Nationality: Folks from any country of the world are welcome. The country should be recognized both by the Indian government and the United Nations and them. They will not accept Baghdad as a separate country. They believe that it is part of Iraq, even if you quote Dubya.

Language: Basic knowledge in Java and English is necessary. They use the latter for day to day communication and the former in their non stop (eternal?) quest to complete the tech certification.

Stars: You must belong to at least one of the twelve signs of the zodiac. Added preference will be given to those who belong to two or more…

A few things about the house…

Facilities: All stuff for basic sustenance is available. You are welcome to drop in and take a look any time. A wall clock is available. And a 7 year old P3 box for you to hack on!

Neighbors: There are no bachelors other than them staying within 2.5 kilometers of the house. So staying here goes with lot of responsibility.

A short note on the current inmates…

Person 1: All he does is read and read and read (if he is not sleeping or doing his daily chores) …

Person 2: All he does is read and read and read (if he is not sleeping or doing his daily chores) …

And if they ever talk to each other, it is about Life, the Universe and Everything. One small warning: Beware the Eccentricity!

And if you are interested…

Ping Person 2 or Person 1. The rent per month is 500 (Yes! Your eyes are not tricking you!!). And you do not have to pay any advance as the current inmates have already paid it. And maintenance charges are Rs. 25 (for the maid) and electricity charges whatever applicable (Current bill for electricity for the months of April and May is Rs. 70/-)!!
